  15. Make ready 1/4 tsp Garam Masala
  16. Get 2 tbsp Coriander - chopped

A modak(Marathi: मोदक) is a sweet dumpling popular in Western, eastern and Southern India. It is called modak (मोदक) in Marathi, (ମୋଦକ) Oriya and Konkani as well as Gujarati language, Kozhakkatta in Malayalam, modhaka or kadubu in Kannada, modhakam or kozhakkattai in Tamil. Steps to make Modak Samosa:
  1. Take 2 cups maida in a bowl.
  2. Add ½ tsp of salt and ½ tsp of carom seeds. Add carom seeds after crushing them with hands
  3. Now, add 4 tbsp of ghee to the Maida and mix well.
  4. Bind the maida properly
  5. Now, pour water gradually in the Maida and knead a stiff dough. Use lukewarm water for kneading the dough.
  6. The dough is ready. Now, cover and leave the dough for 20 minutes.
  7. Heat a pan and add 1 tbsp of oil to it.
  8. When the oil is hot, add ½ tsp of grated ginger, 2-finely chopped green chilies, 1 tsp of coriander powder, and roast them
  9. Take potatoes and mash them
  10. Now, add ½ tsp of cumin powder, ¾ tsp of red chili powder
  11. ½ tsp of dry mango powder ¼ tsp of garam masala, and ½ tsp of salt to the pan. Mix the masala well with mashed potatoes and peas
  12. The potatoes are well-roasted and the stuffing is fragrant, add 2 tsp of green coriander, and mix well. Turn off the heat.
  13. After 20 minutes, knead the dough a little and make it soft. Now, divide the dough into 2-portions and roll it to increase it by length.
  14. Divide the rolled dough into small lumps.
  15. Roll the dough into a disc shape sheet of about 3.5 to 4-inch diameter.
  16. Put the dough sheet on your palm and place some stuffing in the center.
  17. Apply a little water around the edges make a shape of modak
  18. In a kadai heat oil.
  19. Deep fry the modak samosa in it and serve hot
